Meet Ross

Gold Metal Olympic Winner

Ross loves snowboarding and made it his profession.

Ross Rebagliati is a businessman and professional snowboarder. He is the driving force behind establishing a sustainable business model in the medical cannabis industry called Ross’ Gold, which distributes medical marijuana through partnerships with government approved growers selling brands called Ross’ Platinum, Ross’ Silver, Ross’ Gold and Ross’ Bronze with specific THC/CBD levels for specific ailments. The Company also has a licensing model and co-branding to market alongside its planned reality TV show.

As the first ever to win an Olympic Gold Medal for Men’s Snowboarding at the 1998 Winter Olympics, Ross has been an icon at the forefront of the snowboarding industry. Since the launch of Ross’ Gold, he has been featured on CNN, CBC, USA Today, CTV, High Times, the Denver Post, NBC, the Toronto Star, the Globe and Mail, the National Post and the Huffington Post to name a few.

On August 2, 2006 Ross Rebagliati filed suit against Canadian Television Broadcaster CTV. The suit was filed in the British Columbia Supreme Court, and charges CTV with misappropriation of personality, breach of privacy and defamation. Ross Rebagliati claims that a character on their TV series Whistler is based on him and has damaged his image. The character in question, Beck MacKaye, is a blond, blue-eyed, Olympic gold medal-winning snowboarder who lives in Whistler. CTV denied his claims, but the suit was ultimately settled out of court.

In 2009, Ross Rebagliati announced that he would seek the Federal Liberal Party nomination for the Okanagan—Coquihalla riding, in British Columbia. Eventually he bowed out as his business ventures brought him home to Whistler.

For the past five years Ross has been involved in multi-million dollar real estate development projects throughout British Columbia, as well as residential construction.

The biggest hurdle for anyone trying to get into this industry is becoming licensed and dealing with all of the requirements that Health Canada has put forward.
